At the same time she loses her job to downsizing, she is informed that Marie has had a heart attack, and she visits her granny once more before she dies. She looks for another job and when she has an interview with executive Jaime, she falls in love for the first time--but he's not too good in bed. They move into a magnificent apartment together, and Val believes she has found the man of her life. Val gets a job with a gay Italian called Harry at a fashion house, but Jaime becomes jealous and changes his behavior.
